In Slavutych, President Checked Implementation of Instructions on the Development of Energy and Security Infrastructure

In Slavutych, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy was briefed on the implementation of his instructions regarding the development of energy and security infrastructure.

During his previous working trip to Slavutych, the Head of State instructed, in particular, that a strategy be developed for the local hospital and that school shelters be equipped.

Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Mykola Kalashnyk and Mayor of Slavutych Yurii Fomichev reported that shelters with recreation rooms, medical stations, and cafeterias have already been equipped in four schools in the city. The reconstruction of 43 apartments for internally displaced persons has been completed, and construction of another 54 apartments is expected to be completed in August.

The creation of an energy hub is planned to be completed by June. The project, funded by the European Union, provides for a total generation capacity of 2.2 MW. It includes cogeneration units, solar generation equipment, and energy storage systems. The hub is capable of meeting more than 60% of the city’s needs.

A 2.5-kilometer barrier-free route is also being developed in Slavutych.

In addition, defense measures in the city and in the Kyiv region are being strengthened, including anti-drone protection.

With the support of the UNITED24 initiative, the Energy Community, and the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, the roof of the main building of the Slavutych City Hospital was repaired, and solar panels and batteries were installed. With the support of the European Union, the Child Development Center, the Bohatyr sports and wellness complex, and the city swimming pool have been reconstructed.
