At Saint Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv, the President and the First Lady, Together With European Leaders, Prayed for a Dignified Peace in Ukraine

On the day marking the fourth anniversary of the start of Russia’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska, together with the European leaders visiting Kyiv today, prayed at Saint Sophia Cathedral for Ukrainians and a dignified peace in Ukraine.

Those participating in the prayer included: President of Finland Alexander Stubb, President of the European Council António Costa, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen, Prime Minister of Estonia Kristen Michal, Prime Minister of Iceland Kristrún Frostadóttir, Prime Minister of Latvia Evika Siliņa, Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre, Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson, and Minister of National Defense of Lithuania, Robertas Kaunas.

Representatives of churches and religious organizations – the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, the Reformed Church, the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, the All-Ukrainian Union of Churches of Evangelical Christian Baptists, the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Evangelical Church, and the Union of Jewish Religious Organizations of Ukraine – said prayers. They prayed for blessings and support for Ukrainian warriors, for a dignified peace, for the release of prisoners, for every person forced to leave their home, for all Ukrainians, and for the unity and resilience of the Ukrainian people.
