Ukraine and Germany Agreed to Develop Anti-Ballistic Capabilities and Jointly Produce UGVs

In Brussels, in the presence of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Ukraine’s Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov and Germany’s Federal Minister of Defense Boris Pistorius signed implementing arrangements on the development of anti-ballistic capabilities and the joint production of TerMIT UGVs in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Ukrainian and German companies will develop anti-ballistic capabilities and interceptor missiles. The relevant arrangement will become part of a project to create a unified European solution for countering ballistic missiles. Thanks to the arrangement, Ukraine will strengthen the protection of critical infrastructure from Russian missile attacks, while Europe will be able to draw on our experience in building anti-ballistic capabilities. The project is being implemented as part of the agreements reached by the President of Ukraine with partners.

The Ministers of Defense of Ukraine and Germany also signed an arrangement that will make it possible to produce and deliver thousands of TerMIT UGVs for Ukraine’s defenders. Germany will finance the production of the UGVs.
