Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Ihor Brusylо, met with the Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Ukraine and UK Parliament Member for the Labour Party, Alex Sobel. The meeting was held as a follow-up to contacts between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
The parties discussed humanitarian assistance during the winter and cross-party support for Ukraine in the UK Parliament.
Particular attention was given to investment cooperation, support for Ukraine’s economy, reconstruction, military-technical partnership, and the protection of energy and critical infrastructure ahead of winter.
They also discussed efforts to develop security guarantees for Ukraine, the work of the Coalition of the Willing, and Ukraine’s cooperation with the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF).
Alex Sobel noted that, based on the meetings held in Ukraine, a parliamentary session would be convened to reaffirm the United Kingdom Government’s priorities for financial support to Ukraine. This includes joint weapons production, protection of energy infrastructure, and humanitarian assistance for frontline regions. He also indicated that he plans to visit the Kharkiv region.
