Deputy Heads of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Ihor Zhovkva and Pavlo Palisa, held meetings with a European Union delegation led by the Chair of the EU Military Committee, General Seán Clancy.
The main topics of discussion included security challenges, priority areas of cooperation between the European Union and Ukraine in the defense sector, and the urgent needs of Ukrainian warriors.
Ihor Zhovkva expressed gratitude for the military support provided by the European Union and its Member States. He also reaffirmed Ukraine’s readiness to deepen cooperation within the new SAFE instrument to ensure the most critical needs of the Defense Forces are met.
The parties also discussed ways to transition swiftly to the practical operational phase of the Coalition of the Willing.
During the meeting, Pavlo Palisa highlighted technology transfer, the development of the defense industry, coordination of security efforts, and military cooperation between Ukraine and its European partners.
“Our experience in countering modern threats – drones, electronic warfare, new tactics – can be a valuable contribution to allied training. Our soldiers have experience that cannot be gained in peacetime. We are ready to share the knowledge acquired under real conditions,” he noted.
