We Set Additional Tasks for the Armed Forces and for Manufacturers – We Are Scaling up the Approaches That Work Best – The President Following the Staff Meeting

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, where they discussed strengthening electronic warfare capabilities, new sanctions against Russian weapons manufacturers, and supplying the Armed Forces with long-range drones for next year.

Detailed reports were presented on electronic warfare capabilities and their use to protect infrastructure.

“This very component of our defense allows us to neutralize a significant share of Russian “shaheds”. We set additional tasks for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and for manufacturers – we are scaling up the approaches that work best,” the Head of State underscored.

During the meeting, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine reported on Russia’s technological priorities for this year and next, as well as on the supplies of critical components and equipment that Russia receives for weapons production to meet them. New sanctions packages will be prepared based on this, and the Defense Intelligence will submit proposals to the Cabinet of Ministers and the National Security and Defense Council. Ukraine is also working to synchronize sanctions across partners’ jurisdictions.

The Staff meeting also defined the main tasks for supplying Ukrainian forces with long-range drones for next year.

“The key criterion is that we must be able to respond to Russian strikes in kind,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
