President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with President of Finland Alexander Stubb. During the meeting, the leaders coordinated their next diplomatic steps toward achieving peace.
The Head of State thanked Finland for its support for Ukraine, including on its path toward NATO membership.
“It is very important for us that our allies understand that we need strong friends, a strong NATO that needs us as well. We are doing everything we can. Our Drone Deals and our experience – we will, of course, share them with our partners,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President of Finland commended Ukraine’s successes on the battlefield and its military operations in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
“I believe that NATO needs Ukraine just as much as Ukraine needs NATO,” Alexander Stubb emphasized.
The leaders exchanged views on diplomatic prospects for ending the war. The President of Finland shared details of his international contacts. Volodymyr Zelenskyy outlined Ukraine’s vision of how to make use of the opportunities created by successful long-range strikes deep inside Russia. The President of Ukraine emphasized that the determination of partners is essential.
The sides discussed cooperation with partners in the NB8 format, as well as bilateral defense cooperation, primarily work on preparing the Drone Deal. Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Alexander Stubb agreed on further contacts.
