In Brussels, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk.
The leaders discussed the situation with Russian strikes, which is escalating every day. The Head of State said that the Russians are using “shaheds” almost constantly. Today alone, 52 people have been injured. Throughout the day, there were strikes on a store, a pharmaceutical plant, and logistics facilities.
Donald Tusk expressed his condolences to Ukraine over the brutal Russian strikes and assured that Poland would continue providing assistance. Volodymyr Zelenskyy highlighted Poland’s help in defending against these Russian attacks.
“We are very grateful to the Prime Minister, his team, the government, and the entire Polish people for standing with us in this absolutely barbaric war waged by Russia against Ukraine. Thank you for your support and for maintaining close contact throughout these extremely difficult months. These are very hard times. It is no longer just about days and nights – they are attacking us 24/7,” the President emphasized.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Tusk discussed in detail all the existing threats and the steps that will help strengthen Ukraine’s defense against Russian strikes.
The President thanked the Prime Minister of Poland for his clear and principled position on sanctions: there must be no steps that help Russia continue this war.
