Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Jonas Gahr Støre Discussed Strengthening Security Cooperation

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with the Prime Minister of Norway, Jonas Gahr Støre.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Jonas Gahr Støre discussed global developments and bilateral cooperation.

“We truly rely on results in our communication with the American team – we all need them. We are also preparing our joint work with European partners for the coming days and weeks,” the President noted.

The Head of State briefed the Prime Minister on meetings and negotiations in the Middle East and the Gulf region aimed at strengthening shared security. The President stressed that important agreements have already been reached, and the number of countries interested in security cooperation with Ukraine is growing.

According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukraine is open to equally effective cooperation with European countries. The relevant foundation has already been laid through bilateral agreements on defense production and other joint initiatives.

“Norway is one of the leaders in supporting Ukraine, and it is only natural for us to be partners in security,” the President said.

The conversation also focused on specific steps in cooperation. The teams will continue working in this direction.

“Our approach is one of long-term partnership that can strengthen both our partners and ourselves, particularly when it comes to protecting the skies,” the Head of State emphasized.
