President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with Prime Minister of Canada Mark Carney.
The Head of State informed him about the work of the negotiating teams today in Switzerland. Ukraine is committed to a maximally constructive approach to the steps proposed by the United States. Work continues to ensure that the path toward ending the war is real and that the principled elements are taken into account and put into action.
The President thanked the Prime Minister for his support and readiness to assist wherever needed.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Mark Carney also discussed Canada’s engagement with other leaders in support of Ukraine within the G20 Summit, as well as preparations for the upcoming Coalition of the Willing conversation early next week. The Head of State emphasized that Ukraine values this format of coordination among a wider circle of partners so that everyone is involved and informed about the peace process.
