President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk.
Donald Tusk expressed his sympathy with regard to people killed in Ternopil and dozens wounded across other regions of Ukraine in Russian drone and missile attacks. The President thanked him for his solidarity and noted that emergency repair works are currently underway.
The Prime Minister shared information from Poland’s law enforcement and intelligence about the recent acts of sabotage on the Polish railway. He noted that the Telegram social platform had been used to arrange subversive activity and to launch a disinformation campaign against Ukraine.
The President emphasized that such subversive actions are turned against Ukraine on a daily basis including on the railway. In Ukrzaliznytsia, our country has put in place proper measures to counteract such sabotage. He added that the information from Ukraine and Poland aligns: all the facts indicate a Russian trace. No one except the Russians is interested in this.
Ukraine is ready to cooperate with Poland at various levels and to share all relevant information. Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Tusk agreed to set up a Ukrainian-Polish group that will work to prevent similar situations from the Russian side in the future.
Ukraine appreciates all of Poland’s assistance and is always ready to work together to jointly protect lives and counter all possible subversions and challenges.
