Volodymyr Zelenskyy Met with the Volunteers of the Uniters Foundation and Presented the “Golden Heart” Award to Its Founder

In Warsaw, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the founders and staff of the Uniters Foundation, which has been engaged in volunteer work for over 10 years – since the Revolution of Dignity and the beginning of Russia’s aggression in eastern Ukraine.

The Uniters’ Head, Halyna Andrushkov, briefed the Head of State on the foundation’s activities. She noted that one of their main focus areas is supporting children whose parents were killed or wounded as a result of Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Each year, the foundation organizes the charity campaign “Christmas without Father / Christmas in the Line of Fire,” through which, since 2014, it has distributed over 390,000 gifts to children. Overall, the Uniters has sent more than 10,000 tons of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, gathered from many countries around the world.

“I want to thank you first and foremost for your work and for the part of your life that you dedicate personally. And to your entire team, for this contribution to the fight for Ukraine’s life. It is very important when every person does something for Ukraine in their own place,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

The President presented Halyna Andrushkov with the “Golden Heart” award. The founder of the Uniters noted that the award belongs to all the volunteers who have been working for Ukraine for many consecutive years.

“It is important that Ukraine is grateful, that Ukraine truly values what volunteers do. I dedicate this heart to each and every one. Thank you,” she said.
