President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the commanders and warriors of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade named after Kish Otaman Ivan Sirko at the battalion’s command and observation post.
The Head of State heard a report from battalion commander Major Mykola Kakulia on the defense of Lyptsi, the operational situation within the unit’s area of responsibility, and the intentions of the Russian occupiers.
The President thanked the defenders for their service and presented them with the Orders “For Courage,” 3rd class, the Orders of Danylo Halytskyi, and the Medals “For Military Service to Ukraine.”
“It is an honor for me to be here today – to greet you, to present awards, and to thank you for defending our state, our Kharkiv region. This is a difficult section, an active combat zone, complicated by the enemy’s long-standing motivation to seize our Kharkiv region. Thank you for holding the line and destroying the enemy,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Head of State also discussed with company commanders and their sergeants the training of new recruits, the morale of defenders, the provision of essential supplies, and the need to streamline the state award process.
The servicemen noted the performance of the electronic system for tracking points awarded for destroying the occupiers and their equipment, and voiced proposals to address current challenges and improve its functionality.
The President assured them that the issues raised would be addressed and resolved.
