On the Day of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with servicemembers of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection and presented them with state awards.
The President congratulated the specialists of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection on their professional holiday and thanked them for their service to Ukraine, in particular for ensuring stable communications since the first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
“The enemy did everything to create chaos in the state. And thanks to the communications we had among our warriors on the frontline, as well as within our state, within society, I think this helped us withstand and get through a very difficult stage in the life of our state. I want to thank you for carrying out your missions here, within the state, and also to thank all your brothers-in-arms for carrying out their missions on the front,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President presented 10 servicemembers of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection with the Medals “For Military Service to Ukraine,” “For Impeccable Service,” III class, and “To the Defender of the Motherland,” and also handed over the shoulder boards of Major General to the Head of the Service, Oleksandr Potii.
Among those awarded are servicemembers who are part of groups that intercept “shaheds” and operate drones, ensure communications for state bodies, develop communications networks for the Defense Forces, and help shape Ukraine’s legal and regulatory framework in the fields of cybersecurity and cyber defense.
