Volodymyr Zelenskyy Held His First Phone Call with the New President of Chile, during Which They Discussed Deepening Bilateral Cooperation

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held his first phone call with the new President of Chile, José Antonio Kast Rist, and congratulated him on taking office.

The Head of State thanked him for his support for Ukraine, its sovereignty, and territorial integrity. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also expressed appreciation for Chile’s joining the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children.

The President emphasized that Ukraine already has 10-year security agreements with three countries in the Middle East and is ready for a similar partnership with Chile.

The leaders also discussed in detail other possible areas for deepening bilateral cooperation, including metallurgy, agriculture, and mineral exploration.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and José Antonio Kast Rist agreed that their teams would discuss the next steps in developing relations between the two states.
