President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone call with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The Head of State congratulated the President of Azerbaijan and the entire Azerbaijani people on the agreements reached with Armenia, with the participation of U.S. President Donald Trump, which will contribute to lasting peace and security in the South Caucasus region.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ilham Aliyev share the same position: all countries must respect international law, and there can be no double interpretation of territorial integrity. The Head of State thanked the President of Azerbaijan for supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.

The President of Ukraine informed his counterpart about contacts with partners. All are equally committed to a genuine end to the war and to effective diplomacy. Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ilham Aliyev discussed communication with the United States, European countries, and the key principles that can bring peace closer.

The Head of State emphasized that it is important for the joint efforts of the international community to ultimately compel Russia to halt hostilities and aggression.

The parties also discussed energy cooperation and the results already achieved. They agreed to work on expanding joint capabilities. Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed Ilham Aliyev about Russian strikes on energy facilities. Ukraine considers this a deliberate attempt by Russia to block the routes that ensure energy independence for us and other European countries.
