President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Members of the European Parliament who are part of the parliamentary network United for Ukraine (U4U).

The meeting was attended by MEPs from Austria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, and Sweden.
The Head of State thanked the Members of the European Parliament and their countries for supporting Ukraine during this challenging time.
“I believe that when people see how many people, countries, and representatives from such a large international audience support Ukraine, it greatly boosts the morale of Ukrainians. This is especially important for the heroic people on the front lines, and of course for civilians – particularly after such winters and massive Russian attacks,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President stressed that Ukraine already needs to restore and restructure its energy system following this extremely harsh winter. And Ukraine has reached an important agreement with the European Commission to support this process.

The Head of State also noted that Ukraine counts on continued European unity and support, particularly regarding major initiatives such as the EUR 90 billion financial support package for 2026–2027. In addition, a more active role for Europe in the negotiation process to end the war remains crucial.
The President outlined Ukraine’s needs, foremost among them assistance with the country’s air defense. For this reason, the PURL initiative must be further developed and scaled up. It is also necessary to use the European SAFE instrument. According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukraine proposes that each partner allocate at least 10% of this financial instrument to support joint production with our country. That's because this minimum will be sufficient for Ukrainian manufacturers to open production lines in various countries.
