In one of the children’s centers in Kherson, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met and spoke with schoolchildren.
The center offers educational, creative, and sports activities for schoolchildren of different ages. Children can study English and digital literacy free of charge, and take part in art, fitness, and martial arts classes. The center also hosts conversation and book clubs, providing an opportunity for children to continue learning and communicating in person despite the war.
The Head of State talked with the children about the classes they enjoy most and their dreams. The students also spoke about their parents serving in the military who are defending Ukraine on the front lines and showed their drawings, which will be sent to the warriors at the front.
The President observed classes in drawing and English and joined the children in a training session.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also heard a report from Head of the Kherson City Military Administration Yaroslav Shanko on the creation of an information and education center for children and adults in Kherson, as well as the establishment of similar children’s centers in communities across the region.
