In Ivano-Frankivsk, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with participants in the “Will to Live” sports competition.
Among them are warriors, veterans, and people with disabilities. They are competing in eight sports: table tennis, archery, darts, basketball shooting, exercises on a rowing machine, kettlebell snatch and jerk, static weight holding, and barbell press. Together with the participants, the President played table tennis, lifted a barbell, and practiced archery.
The director of the facility hosting the competition told the Head of State about the development of sports in the region and the involvement of the veteran community in this movement for physical and psychological rehabilitation.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with the athletes and signed the battle flags of their brigades. Artist Vasyl Semko presented the Head of State with a wooden panel depicting Saint Nicholas as a military chaplain, symbolizing goodness during wartime. The artist created the panel after taking part in the defense of Avdiivka as a member of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after General-Khorunzhyi Marko Bezruchko.
