First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska took part in the second day of the Fostering the Future Together summit, hosted by U.S. First Lady Melania Trump. The events of the summit were held at the White House.

George Washington University and Georgetown University have joined the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska at the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University.

“Ukraine has much to share here. It would be no exaggeration to say that, besides the resilience of our people, it is precisely digital systems that help us endure,” the President’s wife emphasized in her address to the summit participants.

The First Lady noted that Ukraine and UNICEF are implementing many humanitarian initiatives together.

The President’s wife thanked him for his decision to support the School Nutrition Reform in Ukraine. The Longer Tables Fund will help modernize three school kitchen facilities in the Kyiv and Lviv regions and in Chernihiv.

First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska took part in the presentation of the state standard of barrier-free language “Terminology of Barrier-Free Communication.” Government officials, international experts, educators, and representatives of civil society also attended the event.

The President’s wife emphasized that one of the goals of the All-Ukrainian mental health program “How Are You?” is to make mental health support services accessible to people where they live.

First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska took part in the first meeting of the Barrier-Free Council this year, chaired by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko.

The President’s wife spoke about the removal of entire orphanages and children without parental care by Russian forces, about children being taken from their families in temporarily occupied territories, about forced placement in militarized camps in Russia, and about the alteration of children’s personal data, making it impossible to trace them in electronic systems.

In Kyiv, First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska met with UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper.
