On the occasion of the start of the school year, First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska joined an online lesson that brought together pupils and teachers from all 23 School of Superheroes spaces.
“You all know superheroes from movies and comics well. But there are real heroes living next to us in reality and saving the world. These are our defenders on the frontline. These are our rescuers. These are doctors. Every day in Ukraine, thousands of superheroes go to work, doing their jobs so that life becomes safer, easier, and better for everyone. And now I see more superheroes in front of me. You will see them too if you look in the mirror and at one another. Because every pupil in our school is a superhero,” the First Lady noted.
The President’s wife expressed her gratitude to doctors and teachers who help children gain knowledge; she also assured that the Olena Zelenska Foundation would continue supporting the project.
“Such centers should exist in all children’s hospitals across the country, because every child has the right to knowledge, to education, and to a comfortable environment,” Olena Zelenska stressed.
The Foundation has contributed to the expansion of the state institution and has already funded the set-up of 12 such spaces. Nine of them became fully operational after being equipped, and three more will be launched by the end of this year. In particular, with the start of the school year, new spaces have already opened their doors in Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and Lutsk.
