President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre.
The leaders coordinated further joint steps as well as cooperation within broader formats in Europe and with the United States.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Norway for its decision to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense and its readiness to work together for protection against Russian terror. There is currently a good pace in preparing to enhance air defense.
The President also emphasized the importance of coordinated sanctions pressure on Russia with partners — including the European Union’s sanctions packages and decisions by other G7 members. Norway holds a very principled stance, which is important for everyone in Europe.
Additionally, the President and the Prime Minister discussed Ukraine’s energy resilience: specific agreements on preparations for the upcoming winter and Norway’s readiness to continue providing assistance.
