President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre.
The Head of State thanked Norway for its continued defense and financial support for Ukraine.
The President briefed the Prime Minister on Russia’s massive missile and drone attacks. Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine needs the fastest possible delivery of interceptor missiles for Patriot systems to save lives and prepare for winter. The President and the Prime Minister discussed solutions that could help strengthen Ukraine’s air defense.
The leaders also addressed the development of joint Ukrainian-Norwegian defense production, financing for Ukrainian military technologies, and work on a Drone Deal between Ukraine and Norway. They agreed that their teams would actively work to advance all the arrangements reached.
Separate attention was given to energy support for Ukraine and preparations for winter. The President thanked Norway for its support in this area – last winter, Norway provided the largest amount of grant assistance for gas purchases. The leaders discussed the next stage of energy cooperation and agreed to stay in touch.
