First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska took part in a meeting with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor Riley M. Barnes. The meeting focused on the issue of the return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Maia Sandu discussed the joint path toward membership in the European Union, with a particular focus on the simultaneous opening of the first negotiating clusters.

Among them are strengthening defense support and achieving real progress in negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union. The Head of State separately thanked European partners for their engagement in the work toward achieving a dignified peace. Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Europe must play an important role in all peace efforts and that our shared interests must be protected.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with His Beatitude Georgios, Archbishop of Nova Justiniana and All Cyprus, Primate of the Church of Cyprus.

The Head of State congratulated Cyprus on the start of its presidency of the Council of the European Union.

During the meeting, the parties discussed specific issues relating to cooperation between Ukraine and the United States to achieve a just peace. Particular attention was paid to today’s meeting of the Coalition of the Willing and to the documents that were signed and approved as a result.

The President noted that the Coalition of the Willing has determined which countries are ready to take the lead in specific elements of security guarantees on land, in the air, at sea, and in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
