The EU remains a strong global force that can protect – and does protect – European values and interests. It also plays a key role in making sure the war that Russia is waging doesn’t spread further, and in moving things toward peace.

The special forces of the Security Service of Ukraine consistently rank among the top three most effective units of Ukraine’s Defense and Security Forces in terms of destroyed enemy equipment and manpower. Ukraine and its partner countries must do everything possible to ensure that every Russian war criminal, including Vladimir Putin, is held accountable for the crime of aggression. In Strasbourg, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Secretary General of the Council of Europe Alain Berset signed the Agreement on the Establishment of a Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine.
