President Petro Poroshenko noted that Moldova supports Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. He assured that Ukraine is willing to facilitate the restoration of Moldova’s territorial integrity.
“I am really grateful to the Government, Prime Minister, Parliament of the Republic of Moldova for a firm support for Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence. Ukraine is willing to facilitate the restoration of Moldova’s territorial integrity and sovereignty,” Petro Poroshenko said in the course of the press statement following the bilateral meeting with Prime Minister of Moldova Pavel Filip.
In his turn, the Prime Minister of Moldova told that over 70% of trade operations of Transnistria had earlier been conducted via “Kuchurhan-Pervomaisc” border crossing point. He noted that it is strange to hear all sorts of speculation about the so-called plans to implement the economic blockade of Transnistria. “What kind of blockade can be discussed if almost 60% of the total exports from this region was delivered to the EU countries? Perhaps some of the leaders in this region do not like that, but it is very much needed for people who live there,” Pavlo Filip emphasized.
