During his visit to Washington as part of the Ukrainian delegation led by First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak held meetings to strengthen support for Ukraine.

The Ukrainian delegation held an analytical briefing on the current security, economic, and humanitarian situation in Ukraine for 23 senators from both parties of the U.S. Congress.

Advisor – Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights and Child Rehabilitation Daria Herasymchuk took part online in the panel discussion The Impact of Russia’s War of Aggression on Ukraine’s Children, organized by the Group of Friends on Children and Armed Conflict at the OSCE and the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the OSCE.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva held a meeting with a delegation from the European Union led by Benedikta von Seherr-Thoss, Managing Director for Peace, Security, and Defense at the European External Action Service (EEAS).

A meeting was held at the Child Rights Protection Center in Kyiv between the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets; the Chief Operating Officer of Bring Kids Back UA and Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President, Dariia Zarivna; U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal; and U.S. Chargé d'Affaires ad interim to Ukraine, Julie Davis.

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak held a meeting with U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal, who are visiting Ukraine.

Andriy Yermak expressed gratitude to Türkiye for providing the platform for the meeting with the Russian side in Istanbul on May 16; he also reaffirmed Ukraine’s readiness to continue negotiations with Russia to achieve a ceasefire and establish a just and lasting peace.

Ukraine seeks peace above all else – but not at the cost of capitulation. This was stated by Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak during an event marking the 30th anniversary of the Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The challenges of returning, rehabilitating, and reintegrating Ukrainian children who have been illegally deported or forcibly transferred to Russia were discussed during an event titled “Careful, Fragile: Childhood, War, Occupation, Deportation”, held in Kyiv.
