On the Day of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Air Force warriors, presented them with state awards, and handed over battle flags and ribbons of the honorary distinction “For Courage and Bravery” to unit commanders.

This year alone, our Air Force received Mirages – combat aircraft from France – as well as additional F-16s. And more are coming. Today, we also approved the next stages in the development of our combat aviation – new platforms and new steps in integrating our forces with the forces of partners.

On the Day of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the Air Force Command and leadership of the Ministry of Defense and appointed Lieutenant General Anatolii Kryvonozhko as Commander of the Air Force.

I want to express my gratitude for our special long-range operations on Russian territory. Their impact is significant. And each of them is tangible for the enemy, and our operations will continue – Russia is dragging out the war, so it will receive just responses.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy honored the memory of those killed at the site of the Russian strike on a nine-story residential building in Kyiv’s Sviatoshynskyi district.

All Russian finances, every scheme that fills the Russian budget, must be targeted by the world. Only this will convince Moscow to genuinely work for peace.

The leaders discussed the need to strengthen Ukraine’s defenses and expand drone production capacity, particularly of interceptor drones. The President and the Prime Minister agreed to work together on solutions to address the financial needs.

There have already been several reports today from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine regarding rescue operations and the clearing of rubble after the Russian strike. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine and all relevant services will continue working for as long as necessary. People are being searched for under the rubble.

Advisor – Presidential Commissioner for Sanctions Policy Vladyslav Vlasiuk held a briefing on tightening sanctions against Russia for heads and representatives of the diplomatic missions of European Union countries to Ukraine. Deputy Heads of the Presidential Office Ihor Zhovkva and Ihor Brusylо also addressed the audience.
