At Ukraine’s Permanent Mission to the UN, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

In New York, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in New York to take part in the events marking the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, where he held a meeting with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

It will be the week of the UN General Assembly – with various events and meetings. The schedule already includes nearly two dozen meetings with leaders from different countries, from all parts of the world – with everyone who has long supported Ukraine and those who are among our new partners. The first meetings are already tomorrow. We are also planning a meeting with the President of the United States this week.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy accepted letters of credence from newly appointed Ambassadors: Luboš Veselý of the Czech Republic, Lars Hansen of Norway, and Heiko Thoms of Germany.

Ukraine has imposed sanctions on officials, businesspeople, and those involved in human rights violations in temporarily occupied Crimea, as well as on propagandists and pro-Russian figures from Moldova. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed three decrees to enact the decisions of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

I am grateful that many of Ukraine’s proposals have been taken into account in the EU sanctions package. We are constantly working on this with every one of our partners, and of course, above all with the European Union and the Group of Seven.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law passed by the Verkhovna Rada that recognizes servicemembers honored with the President of Ukraine’s award, the Cross of Military Merit, as those who have rendered outstanding service to their homeland.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree establishing the Office of the Military Ombudsman and appointed the first Military Ombudsman, Olha Reshetylova (Kobylynska), who previously served as the Presidential Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Military Personnel and Their Families.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Lithuania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Kęstutis Budrys, who is visiting Ukraine for the fifth time in this role.
