In Kyiv, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva met with Secretary-General of UN Tourism Shaikha Nasser Al Nuwais. This is the first visit by the organization’s Secretary-General to our country since 2016.

The long-range sanctions plan is being implemented, and there are more and more of our mid-range strikes as well. In fact, we have succeeded in blocking off Russia’s south, and we are expanding this strategic operation – quite rightly, in response to Russian strikes on our ports and our cities.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree enacting the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine to impose sanctions on individuals and companies involved in the illegal export of Ukrainian grain, as well as on vessels used for this purpose.

The meeting identified the main shortfalls and additional needs for developing the most innovative and technologically advanced types of weapons, accelerating the production of strike capabilities and new types of defensive weapons, including jet-powered interceptors. The intelligence agencies provided updated information on Russia’s plans. Ukraine is preparing its response and asymmetric countermeasures.

The Head of State emphasized that the implementation of the Tysiachovesna initiative, designed to foster the creation of new, high-quality Ukrainian cultural products, is a great result and a success for Ukraine. According to the President, out of more than 3,000 creative applications, 1,227 projects made it to the final and are already bringing people and teams together.
