The Olena Zelenska Foundation and the Czech Kellner Family Foundation Launch Partnership to Support Ukrainian Children and Families

The Olena Zelenska Foundation and the Czech Kellner Family Foundation have agreed on a partnership aimed at supporting Ukrainian children and families affected by the full-scale Russian aggression.

The Czech Kellner Family Foundation has contributed 170 million Czech korunas to implement the Olena Zelenska Foundation’s humanitarian and infrastructure initiatives.

“For Ukrainian children and families, it is critically important to feel that they have not been left alone with the war. Supporting children’s safety and education at this time shapes the future of Ukraine and all of Europe. That is why the partnership with the Czech Kellner Family Foundation holds special significance for us and allows us to help those who need it most,” the President’s wife emphasized.

The Foundation will direct the aid toward three key areas.

The first area is strengthening energy resilience: procuring generators, charging stations, inverters, and batteries for schools, hospitals, elderly care facilities, and local communities to ensure the uninterrupted operation of these institutions amid Russian attacks on the energy system.

The second area is humanitarian support for foster families and large foster families who have taken in orphans or children deprived of parental care.

The third area is the Safe School project, under which the Foundation equips shelters, kitchen facilities, and ensures the energy autonomy of educational institutions.

“We cannot simply stand aside and watch people in Ukraine struggle to meet basic needs – heat, electricity, or drinking water. After consultations with President Petr Pavel, we decided to focus our assistance on those who need it most: children, families, and social institutions. This is the least we can do for them during this difficult time,” said Renata Kellnerová, Chair of the Kellner Family Foundation.
