Pursuant to the instruction of the President, Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak had a phone call with Minister of Enterprises and Production of Italy Adolfo Urso.
Andriy Yermak thanked the government and people of Italy for their unwavering support of our country in the fight for freedom and common European democratic values.
"We appreciate everything that Italy and Giorgia Meloni personally do for Ukraine and we are interested in maintaining an active dialogue between the two countries," the Head of the Presidential Office noted.
The interlocutors touched upon the issue of defense support, in particular in the context of the appointment of the new Minister of Defense of Ukraine. The parties emphasized the importance of establishing a close dialogue between Rustem Umerov and his Italian counterpart Guido Crosetto.
The parties also discussed further cooperation and development of relations both at the level of the two states and within international organizations.
Special attention was paid to cooperation in the economic sphere and Italy's participation in the implementation of projects to rebuild and restore Ukraine.
According to the Head of the President's Office, the Italian side could join reconstruction projects together with other European countries.
Adolfo Urso, for his part, assured: "Italy is ready to continue supporting Ukraine and could join those projects and areas where its experience and support would be helpful."
