With COVID-19 outbreak in Ukraine, the authorities have taken tough and effective measures and managed to save the lives of thousands of Ukrainians and gain valuable time, as stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the annual address to the Verkhovna Rada on the internal and external situation of Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with representatives of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations and called for help in counteracting the spread of COVID-19.

UAH 571 million of the subvention was transferred to the regions to provide oxygen to beds in hub hospitals where patients with COVID-19 are treated. This was reported by government officials at a conference call chaired by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on preventing the spread and overcoming the effects of coronavirus in Ukraine.

During a working visit of the President of Ukraine to Turkey, a brief tripartite friendly conversation took place between Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine and Turkey will work closely together in the framework of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly to ensure the protection of human rights in the occupied Crimea. The President of Ukraine also invited President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to join the Crimean Platform project.

The dialogue between Ukraine and Turkey is developing dynamically, the countries are ready to deepen the strategic partnership and develop cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a joint statement with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the media following the talks in Istanbul.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy notes the interest in greater involvement of Turkish companies in the implementation of infrastructure programs and stands for accelerating the conclusion of a Free Trade Agreement with Turkey. He noted this in a statement to the media following the negotiations with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Istanbul.

A number of bilateral documents were signed in Istanbul in the presence of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is on a working visit to Turkey, and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The President of Turkey was awarded for outstanding personal contribution to strengthening Ukrainian-Turkish interstate cooperation, support for independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

We, the Presidents of Ukraine and the Republic of Turkey: Reaffirming the desire to strengthen the strategic partnership between our countries, note the importance of implementing the agreements enshrined in the Joint Declaration following the Eighth Meeting of the High-Level Strategic Council between Ukraine and the Republic of Turkey which was held in Kyiv on February 3, 2020.
