President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree enacting the decision of the National Security and Defense Council to apply sanctions against the self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.

This sanctions package was formed on the basis of a petition prepared by Ukrainian skeleton racer and member of the National Olympic Team of Ukraine Vladyslav Heraskevych.

The Head of State thanked the Secretary General of the Council of Europe and his team for supporting the Ukrainian people in times of difficult trials, especially for the efforts to establish a Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression by Russia against Ukraine.

In Munich, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy was presented with the Ewald von Kleist Award, which this year the organizers of the Munich Security Conference awarded to the brave Ukrainian people.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with envoys of the President of the United States, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, ahead of the trilateral meetings in Geneva.

One of the topics discussed during the meeting was how Ukraine can be assisted with air defense missiles amid the cold weather. Special and detailed attention was given to the diplomatic process and the negotiations in a trilateral format.

Weapons today evolve faster than political decisions meant to stop them, which is why action must be taken immediately – lost time works against people. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during his speech at the Munich Security Conference.

In Munich, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with heads of international investment companies, including Allianz, Amundi, Barrick Gold, BlackRock, Deutsche Bank, Fortescue, HypoVereinsbank, Lazard, Moore Capital Management, New York Life Investments, PIMCO, Relativity Space, Siemens Energy, and State Street. The meeting was moderated by the Adviser to the President on Economic Development, Chrystia Freeland.
