Ukraine is ready to become a full-fledged member of the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF). President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during his online address to the participants of the JEF Leaders’ Summit in Helsinki.

Yesterday, on the eve of the Day of the National Guard of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the warriors of the National Guard of Ukraine, congratulated them on the 12th anniversary of the National Guard’s formation, presented state awards, and handed unit commanders honorary distinction ribbons “For Courage and Bravery,” and ribbons bearing honorary names.

The Head of State thanked the warriors for their service, emphasizing that Ukrainians can trust the Security Service and rely on its protection and effectiveness across every domain. Over the years of this war, the Security Service of Ukraine has become a combat-proven, strong, and exemplary special service in Europe and the world.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Andris Sprūds held detailed discussions on strengthening Ukraine’s air defense and supplying additional missiles for it.

“Ukraine is grateful to you for once again showing the whole world who you are, who we are, what Ukraine is – a nation of unbreakable people. Ukrainians have a unique will; Ukrainians are strong; Ukrainians are winners in spirit,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with the President of Mozambique, Daniel Chapo.

The Head of State lit a candle at the memorial stele on the grounds of the “Angels of Victory” memorial and spoke with the families and loved ones of the fallen warriors. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska attended the farewell ceremony for His Holiness Filaret, Honorary Patriarch of Kyiv and All Rus-Ukraine.

“This is a great loss for Ukrainians. He was a strong personality and one of the most steadfast defenders of the Ukrainian Church, independence, and statehood. The Ukrainian people will always honor his contribution to building an autocephalous Church. And without the energy, character, and courage of Patriarch Filaret, many of Ukraine’s achievements simply would not have been possible. We also remember how Patriarch Filaret taught us to unite around the idea of a strong and independent Ukraine,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Weakening the Russian aggressor is the key to ending the war: increasing losses on the battlefield, economic damage, and continued strong support for Ukraine. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during his address to participants of the European Council meeting.
