With regard to the new high in the number of COVID-19 coronavirus patients in 24 hours, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stressed the need to increase public awareness on combating the spread of COVID-19 in Ukraine and calls on citizens to take personal safety measures.

The President of Ukraine also pointed out the interest of the Ukrainian side in purchasing the Israeli vaccine against coronavirus, which is currently being tested in Israel, for its citizens.

Three Ukrainian citizens detained by law enforcement officers in Belarus earlier – Yevhen Vasyliev, Kostiantyn Reutsky and Oksana Alioshyna – have been released after persistent actions by the Ukrainian authorities. They are safe and will return home soon, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that the increase the minimum wage to UAH 5,000 from September 1, which is outlined in the president's bill, is the first phase. During 2021, the next phases of increase are to be implemented.

All families affected by the explosion in a high-rise residential building in Kyiv late June have received new housing, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said. "I am grateful to our team, we have done it. We promised (to give apartments) before the end of the summer – and we did it. Everyone has finally got new apartments in new houses," the President said.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Boryspil Multispecialty Intensive Care Hospital in Kyiv region and had a tour of the hospital to see the repair work, which has been going on since last year at the request of the Head of State.

The next meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) on the peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas will be held on August 18, despite the recent developments in Belarus, and it will address important issues, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.

On the International Youth Day, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met with graduates of general secondary education institutions in school year 2019/2020, who scored the highest number of points according to the results of external independent evaluation.

Ukrainian citizens should be able to buy housing on credit at affordable interest rates – at least 10% per annum, as bank mortgage rates, which have existed so far, are simply unaffordable for many Ukrainian families, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.
