President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone call with Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk.
The Head of State thanked Poland and the Prime Minister personally for their solidarity and support.
“Every day, Russia chooses escalation over peace. And we are very grateful to Poland that, at such a difficult time, we are receiving the help we need,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President also briefed the Prime Minister on preparations for possible trilateral meeting formats at the technical level between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia. According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, there are no obstacles on the Ukrainian side, but it is important that the American side prepare on its end and ensure Russia’s readiness.
The leaders also discussed getting Ukraine’s energy grid ready for the winter and other sensitive issues.
“Not everything can be discussed in detail over the phone, so we agreed to meet in person in the near future. I am grateful to Donald and Poland for their support. Only through the united strength of everyone in Europe can we stop Russia and prevent this sick war from going any further,” the Head of State concluded.
