We Are Working to Accelerate Deliveries of Missiles for Patriot Systems – President Following His Meeting with German Defense Minister

In Berlin, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.

The Head of State briefed him on the situation with Russian strikes on critical infrastructure in virtually all regions of Ukraine. The President noted that there are numerous strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure every day, and the situation with ballistic missiles is particularly challenging due to the shortage of Patriot interceptors.

“It is important to find new solutions to help protect lives. We have a substantial contract for the purchase of German-made PAC-2 missiles over the next two years. We are working to accelerate deliveries. This would significantly help Ukrainians get through this winter,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized. More than once, it has been German leadership that has helped protect thousands upon thousands of lives,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

The President and the Defense Minister agreed that their teams would explore this possibility and other issues, including IRIS-T and munitions for F-16s.

The Head of State thanked German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Boris Pistorius, and all of Germany for their unwavering support for Ukraine’s defense.
