President Thanked the National Police for Conducting One of the Largest Operations Against Crime, National Guardsmen for Defending Ukraine, and Police Officers for Rescuing People After Russian Strikes

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy recognized officers of the National Police of Ukraine who took part in one of the largest operations against crime, National Guardsmen defending Ukraine on the frontline, and police officers helping rescue people after Russian attacks. The Head of State announced this in his evening address.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko had reported on one of the largest anti-crime operations. Police conducted more than 500 searches, detained nearly one hundred individuals, eliminated 34 drug laboratories and 70 storage facilities.

“It was a strong operation, and I am grateful to the National Police of Ukraine, all our institutions and services that helped – the Security Service of Ukraine, the Prosecutor’s Office, and other state bodies, as well as our international partners who were involved,” the President said.

The Head of State also thanked National Guardsmen who, together with all Ukrainian warriors, are defending Ukraine and its independence.

“Warriors of the Omega Special Forces Center of the National Guard of Ukraine – thank you for your courage and coordinated actions. The guys carry out missions on key sectors of the front, including the Pokrovsk sector, and these are not only defensive, but also active strike-and-search operations,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

Separately, the President recognized police officers who, during massive missile and drone attacks, rescued and evacuated people from burning buildings, freed victims from under the rubble, and provided first aid and psychological support.

“Police officers who, in our various communities and cities, are the first to arrive at the scene after Russian strikes and, together with first responders, protect lives, help people, and have distinguished themselves especially in these recent days and weeks,” the Head of State noted.

The President recognized police officers in Kyiv: senior district police officer of the prevention sector Valerii Katiukha, convoy service officer of the prevention department Petro Lohvyniuk, and senior psychologists Vladyslav Kutsevol, Olha Tkachenko, and Kateryna Zubakova.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also thanked police officers of Kharkiv – inspectors of Platoon No. 1 of the Tactical and Operational Response Company Denys Danylenko and Pylyp Syrovatka, Deputy Commander of the Tactical and Operational Response Company Serhii Tumanov; Chernihiv – community police officers Roman Ovcharenko and Volodymyr Ananko; Konotop – detention facility officer Oleh Obramenko.

The Head of State also recognized police officers of Zaporizhzhia – inspector Yevhenii Rohul and Acting Company Commander Iryna Kiryanova, police battalion officer of the Security Police Department Oleksandr Kushch, and psychologist Yuliia Naumetska; Dnipro – Deputy Battalion Commander Mykhailo Horobtsov and inspector Vladyslav Fedash; Kryvyi Rih – district police department psychologist Viktoriia Demydenko.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked police officers of Kramatorsk – Platoon Commander of the Patrol Police Battalion in the cities of Kramatorsk and Slovyansk Maksym Panchenko and police officer Denys Pryimak; Mykolaiv region – psychologist Alina Shepel; Odesa – platoon inspectors Maryna Bondarenko and Mykola Zhurakivskyi, and senior psychologist Anastasiia Yatsyshyna.

All of them took part in dealing with the aftermath of Russian shelling and providing assistance to victims.

“Thank you and all your colleagues! Thank you to everyone who is in Ukraine and with Ukraine, who defends our state, our positions, and our people,” the President emphasized.
