President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Rob Jetten.
The Head of State briefed the Prime Minister on the aftermath of Russia’s latest attacks against Ukraine. Today, the rubble clearance operation following the attack overnight into Thursday was completed in Kyiv. The attack claimed the lives of 30 people.
“It is important that our friends – Ukraine’s friends – are ready to take action to protect lives, and air defense remains one of the key areas of our cooperation with the Netherlands,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President also thanked the Netherlands for its historic decision to host the full-fledged Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine.
“This decision will make it possible to hold Russia’s highest political and military leadership accountable for the crime of aggression itself, not only for its consequences,” the Head of State stressed.
“The Russian aggression against Ukraine cannot go unpunished. That is why we need to establish a special tribunal to prosecute those responsible for this aggression. The Dutch government decided today that the Netherlands is willing to serve as the host country,” Rob Jetten added.
The leaders also agreed on the schedule of their next meetings. Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the Netherlands for its solidarity, support, and willingness to continue assisting Ukraine.
