President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy started his participation in the 3rd European Political Community Summit in Granada, Spain.
"I believe that the main challenge we all face is, first of all, to maintain unity in Europe. And I'm not just talking about EU countries, it's about the whole of Europe. I think this will be the biggest challenge. Because Russia will attack with information, disinformation, fakes. This is the first thing. Second, it is very important for Ukraine to have a defense shield for the winter. Because in winter, we will face many attacks with various types of Russian missiles, Iranian drones," the Head of State said during a conversation with media representatives.
The President had a meeting with Acting President of the Government of Spain Pedro Sánchez.
"Thank you for the invitation to participate in the summit, it is a positive signal of support for Ukraine. Thank you for supporting Ukraine," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The leaders discussed the necessary steps to implement the Ukrainian Peace Formula. In particular, they discussed preparations for the next meeting at the level of advisors, which is to take place shortly.
Attention was paid to maintaining international support for Ukraine. The two sides also discussed in detail the next defense package from Spain, which will include ammunition, artillery, anti-drone systems, air defense equipment and demining equipment.
In addition, the parties discussed further bilateral cooperation to protect the Black Sea "grain corridor".
