President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone call with the Vice President of the United States, JD Vance.
They followed up on the July 28 meeting between the President of Ukraine and U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington, which was positive and productive.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that air defense, in particular Patriot interceptors against ballistic missiles, remains the top priority, as Russian air attacks on Ukraine continue unabated.
They also discussed the consequences of Russia’s war for global markets.
“We agreed that our teams will stay in touch and work through everything discussed today. I thank the United States for its support of Ukraine and our people,” the Head of State said.
The President also thanked JD Vance for taking the timely initiative to have this important conversation.
