The Presidents of Ukraine and the United States also noted the Verkhovna Rada’s ratification of the Economic Partnership Agreement between the two countries. The leaders agreed on the importance of this historic agreement, which opens up many opportunities for both countries.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump discussed further efforts needed for peace and specific steps that can be taken in this regard.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy underscored that Ukraine is ready for a 30-day ceasefire starting immediately and is waiting for Russia to agree to this proposal. After that, Ukraine is ready to start negotiations in any format. By accepting a full and unconditional ceasefire, Russia must demonstrate its willingness to end the war.
President Trump confirmed that he wants to see this war ended and is ready to help. He also expressed support for a ceasefire.
