In Brussels, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala.
The Head of State informed the Prime Minister about the consequences of Russia’s strikes on Ukraine’s energy facilities. The Czech Republic can provide assistance in this area. The country is already supplying and installing cogeneration equipment at Ukrainian enterprises, and has delivered diesel generators for Kryvyi Rih, as well as gas heaters and water purification stations for the cities of Marhanets and Nikopol.
The President and the Prime Minister also discussed the implementation of joint defense projects and the initiative to strengthen the protection of Ukrainian skies.
The views of Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Petr Fiala are aligned: sanctions and frozen Russian assets must be aimed at supporting Ukraine, its protection, and defense.
The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic presented the President with a blue-and-yellow handmade accessory with a clasp, created by a seven-year-old Czech girl in a sign of support and solidarity with Ukraine.
The Head of State thanked Petr Fiala for all his personal efforts to support Ukraine, Ukrainians, and our resilience; for the productive relations between Ukraine and Czechia; and for his consistent warmth towards the Ukrainian people throughout his tenure as Prime Minister.
