President of Ukraine and President of Ghana Discuss Deepening Bilateral Cooperation

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with President of Ghana John Dramani Mahama.

 The two leaders discussed the development of bilateral cooperation and promising areas for partnership. In particular, they spoke about cooperation in the agro-industrial sector. The Presidents of Ukraine and Ghana agreed to organize a ministerial-level meeting to begin work on expanding practical cooperation. Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that a Ukrainian delegation would be sent to Ghana in the near future.

The parties also discussed the construction of a logistics hub for food storage. The President of Ukraine expressed readiness to implement this initiative.

Special attention was given to cooperation in the field of advanced technologies, particularly unmanned aerial vehicles. Ghana has expressed interest in acquiring Ukrainian UAV models for surveillance and monitoring in order to strengthen security along its borders with the Sahel region.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Ukraine is open to such cooperation and is willing to help its partners make their borders more secure against terrorist threats from Islamist jihadists.

The Head of State thanked John Dramani Mahama for the invitation to visit Ghana and extended an invitation for him to come to Ukraine on an official visit.

The two Presidents agreed to meet in the near future.
