A Ukrainian delegation led by Advisor – Commissioner of the President for Children’s Rights and Child Rehabilitation Daria Herasymchuk took part in an event in the Senate of Spain dedicated to the return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.

The meeting brought together politicians, diplomats, and representatives of civil society to strengthen international efforts to bring Ukrainian children back home. The event was initiated by Senate President Pedro Rollán, following agreements reached with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during their meeting in Madrid in March.
Pedro Rollán stressed that the return of Ukrainian children is one of the Senate’s priorities. Earlier, on March 4, 2026, the Senate of Spain unanimously adopted a declaration condemning the forced transfer of Ukrainian children and committing to support their return.
As part of the event, the Bring Kids Back UA initiative of the President of Ukraine was presented, alongside personal stories from young Ukrainians who have been brought home.
