President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed decrees enacting decisions of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine to extend sanctions against entities supporting Russia’s military-industrial complex and impose sanctions on collaborationists who have betrayed Ukraine.
The first decision extends sanctions against companies and their founders involved in manufacturing and modernizing Russian firearms, developing drones and data exchange systems for the occupying forces, and providing meteorological and information technology support for Russian aviation.
The second sanctions package targets 67 individuals and one legal entity that support Russia’s armed aggression and serve the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territories. They include so-called ministers, members of parliament, and judges. Among them is kindergarten director Raisa Prylypko, who helped abduct and unlawfully transfer children from the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region to Russia. The sanctions also target Ivan Dotsenko, head of the MIR agricultural company, who urged businesses and farmers in the Kherson region to cooperate with the enemy, as well as the Soyuzmetallservis company that supports the operation of metallurgical, coke-chemical, and coal enterprises in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions that were illegally seized by the occupying forces.
“Everyone who helps Russia wage war against Ukraine – whether on the battlefield, in the offices of the occupation administrations, or in the information space – must be prepared for new sanctions. Sanctions pressure on such individuals will only continue to increase, both in Ukraine and in other countries around the world,” said Advisor – Commissioner of the President for Sanctions Policy Vladyslav Vlasiuk.
Ukraine will share all relevant information with its partners to support further efforts to synchronize sanctions across international jurisdictions.
