President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of Finland Alexander Stubb took part in a roundtable on Ukrainian-Finnish cooperation in the defense industries, organized with the participation of the Ukrainian Council of Defense Industry. In the presence of the two leaders, three memorandums of cooperation were signed.
The Head of State thanked Alexander Stubb, his team, Commander of the Finnish Defense Forces Janne Jaakkola, and representatives of seven Finnish companies who came to Ukraine on National Flag Day and on the eve of Independence Day. These were Boomeranger, Insta, Patria, Nokia, NestAI, Sensofusion, and ICEYE.
“From the very beginning of this war, you have been with us. And now, as our military and defense sector has grown, we can cooperate, we have started joint production, and we have not just agreements, not just papers – we have real tools, and we already have real results,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The President of Ukraine emphasized that today we are taking another step toward deepening cooperation by combining Ukrainian combat experience with Finnish technologies.
Alexander Stubb noted that today Ukraine guarantees the security of all of Europe, and that Ukraine’s capabilities to wage modern warfare are the best in Europe, so cooperation between Ukraine and Finland will strengthen both countries.
“Today’s meeting is truly mutually beneficial. In the sense that in the short term, we will be able to help you as much as we can, while in the long term, you will likewise help us. So I think this is not only the beginning, but in fact a continuation of the cooperation we have been developing for many years. And I am very pleased that we are now making it as concrete as possible,” the President of Finland emphasized.
In the presence of Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Alexander Stubb, representatives of Ukrainian and Finnish companies signed documents on the development and production in Finland of drones for the needs of Ukraine and Europe, the development of capabilities in the field of maritime unmanned systems, and the establishment of a facility to produce unmanned ground robotic systems.
“But we should not forget that we also have cyberspace and space here. And all of this together essentially forms a comprehensive package. It is very easy for us to work together because, at the political level, we are finalizing work on the Drone Deal and, of course, we already have the broad security agreement that we signed several years ago,” the President of Finland added.
