President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska met with Superhumans veterans and graduates, as well as their families and loved ones, at the annual Reunion festival held in Odesa.
“I'm often asked – by foreign journalists and by our partners – how Ukraine does it. How, despite all strikes and all the horrible pain, Ukrainians can keep going, refuse to give up, and remain so resilient. One of the answers is you and your example – what you've been through, your attitude toward life, your stories, which truly inspire and show what a person is capable of when they refuse to surrender to circumstances – and when they have people beside them who will always stand by them,” the Head of State said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed the importance of supporting everyone recovering from the consequences of their injuries through the efforts of the state, partners, local communities, businesses, and fellow service members. The President thanked everyone involved in the rehabilitation of wounded service members and civilians, including the Superhumans team, which now operates centers in Lviv, Dnipro, and Odesa.
“All of this together is a great story of the fight for life. A fight in which the refusal to surrender prevails. And in our super country, we have our super humans. Those who refuse to give up. Who overcome. Who reclaim their life – and swim across the Atlantic and the Bosphorus, conquer mountain peaks, build veteran-owned businesses, win Dancing with the Stars, run marathons, start families and become parents – and teach the next generation that Ukrainians are strong,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
The Reunion festival is the largest family and veterans' festival of the Superhumans community. This year, it brought together around 1,000 Superhumans graduates, along with their families, friends, partners, and the center's team. The festival featured children's and family areas, themed spaces, sports and creative activities, a canine therapy zone, workshops, interactive activities, and spaces for rest and conversation. Veteran-owned businesses were also showcased.
A dedicated area was devoted to the All-Ukrainian mental health program “How Are You?”, initiated by Olena Zelenska, who also serves on the Supervisory Board of Superhumans. Festival participants had the opportunity to learn more about mental health, available support services, and self-care practices.
