President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone call with Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Andy Burnham.

The Head of State thanked the UK Prime Minister for his support and for expressing his condolences to all those who have lost loved ones because of Russian attacks. He briefed Andy Burnham on Russian strikes that have continued unabated throughout the day today against various Ukrainian cities with aerial bombs, “shaheds,” and ballistic missiles.

“Air defense is, of course, the first priority. And, importantly, there should be real decisions to protect lives in Ukraine and to support our joint work in Europe for security. British leadership is always significant,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy underscored.

The President noted: it matters that the UK will continue to ramp up sanctions pressure on Russia for its escalation. Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Andy Burnham discussed this and what could truly help diplomacy work.

The leaders will prepare the necessary joint steps and arrange their next meeting.
